Regardless of what your favourite cosmetics company claims, there isn’t a magic potion cure for great hair. Good hair starts with your diet. Whether certain hair products provide great benefits for your hair is up for discussion, but without a proper investment into the right foods, your hair will not be healthy.

Your hair is composed of the very nutrients that you eat. Hair is mostly made up of chains of protein. The building blocks of the protein in hair are a series of chemical compounds called amino acids. 2 of the most prevalent amino acids are arginine and glutamine

Arginine and Glutamine

Arginine plays a vital role in terms of hair growth by stimulating blood flow to the hair root which boosts hair growth. Glutamine also plays a large role in terms of hair growth. It is the amino acid which is most abundant in hair, and its presence is needed for hair growth. Glutamine is produced naturally by the body, but the production slows down over time. A supplementary supply is needed as we age
