We often think fruit juice as being healthy as it looks colourful and comprises fruit. But what we don’t realise is that most fruit juices contain just as many calories and sugar as a fizzy drink.
Labels on supermarket fruit juices, whilst accurate, could be misleading – so choose wisely, especially if you are overweight or have other health challenges.
Eating a whole fruit can be more beneficially for you as you take time to eat and digest it. Drinking in liquid form can be too fast an intake for your body and it won’t contain the same of fibre and goodness a whole fruit contains.
